ABOUT THE ARTIST
I'm a photographer, an IT
business owner and a former high school science teacher. I
believe that this unusual combination has allowed me to better
understand what it takes to photograph the natural
environment.
I truly enjoy the early morning and late evening hikes
around our local natural areas throughout the year. This
has allowed me to photograph nature's wildflowers during the
'golden light'. I also travel annually to our national
parks to photograph their annual wildflower displays.
However, I always tell my friends - no matter where you live,
nature has a wildflower display. You just have to know
when to go outside to see it.
I was a co-founder, president and currently
vice-president of the Linn
Area Photo Club. If you are interested in
photography we invite you to join us. We meet most
months at Wickiup Hill Outdoor Education Center on the 2nd
Sunday of the month at 2:00pm. Check our website
for details. Our club's motto is "Sharing Our Passion for
Photography".
Six of my photographs are on permanent display in the
classrooms at Linn
County Wickiup Hill Outdoor Education Center.
All the photographs on this website are available as
prints, matted and/or framed. Some of the images are also
available as puzzles. Please contact
me if you have questions.
PHOTOS OF THE MONTH
Below and on the Awards and Pricing pages are
three of my images that I am very proud of. Hopefully,
they will make you think about the beauty of life. Check
back often as these will change.
WHY DO I TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS
No man has the right to dictate what other men should
perceive, create or produce, but all should be encouraged to
reveal themselves, their perceptions and emotions, and to
build confidence in the creative spirit. ~ Ansel Adams
