I'm a retired IT business owner, a former science teacher and a photographer.
I truly enjoy the early morning and late evening hikes around our local natural areas throughout the year. This has allowed me to photograph nature during the 'golden light'. I also travel more frequently now that I am retired. I have been to 35 of the 59 national parks.
All the photographs on this website are available as prints. Please contact us if you have questions or are interested in a print.
I continue to take small groups of photographers to beautiful areas and help them improve their photography. I already have a trip arranged to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in late April. If there ever was a photographer's paradise, the GSMNP would be in the top five. This workshop will allow us the opportunity to photograph some mountain scenes (completely different from that the Rockies), beautiful sunrises, waterfalls, abundant wildflowers, animals and 100+ year old farmsteads.
WHY DO I TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS
"No man has the right to dictate what other men should perceive, create or produce, but all should be encouraged to reveal themselves, their perceptions and emotions, and to build confidence in the creative spirit." Ansel Adams
