The Perfect Light

Yesterday morning, I and six others, were in a photographers only bird blind, on the south bank of the Platte River, at the Rowe Sanctuary, near Kearney NE. In the two hours we were in the blind, thousands of images were recorded.

This pair of cranes were approximately fifty feet away. As the sun peaked out of the clouds , some of the cranes, like this one, looked east and paused. The photographers all smiled and it sounded like popcorn popping, as all of us started taking images. All photographers have the desire to be in the right place at the right time for the "perfect" light. Yesterday, I was privileged to be present.

As I go thru the images, I will add a folder to this website of crane images. Please feel free to share and comment.
