Session fees cover the planning of your session, the time spent capturing your family on your session day, and doing all the things to make your portraits rock post session. Portraits and digital products are purchased separately.

Short answer-Of course! Do you know I print amazing wall portraits for my clients all the time? I know digital images are popular so you can purchase digital images if you are interested. But those that opt for my wall art collections? They are truly amazed at the beauty that is displayed on their walls! You will seriously stare at them all the time. I work together with you to create beautiful images of your family. They deserve nothing short of being displayed...BIG! If digital images are really what you want to walk away with I am happy to accommodate. I have 2 package options for digital images for all of my sessions. I provide you with resources on printing at a great little lab, so they do not get lost in computer land. Digital packages come with a print release form allowing you to reproduce your images elsewhere. Each one of my digital packages also include a free 5x7 printed image of the digital images you choose to be included in your package.
Oh honey no. Well...small elopements? Sure! But those 8 hour wedding days are not something I do. Wedding photographers have my utmost respect. They deal with whatever comes on your special day and work hard at capturing flawless images. I have a couple favorites that I love to refer, so please contact me for their information!
Totally be YOU! But, coordinate with your family of course! Start with the person that is the pickiest with clothing, then build the rest of your family based on their outfit. Just think about it...what do you want to see when you look at your walls? All of you matching in white Tshirts and light jeans? Naw...You want to be awesome, so choose awesome! That said...I can help guide you to be awesome. When you schedule your session we can discuss wardrobe further. I would love to help you be ok with tweeny Lola wanting to wear her favorite K Pop tee, or little Joey wanting to rock out in his PJ's!
On the flip side, there are a few things that do not photograph well. I encourage you to stay away from just a few things that can take away from your family photo. Anything that is neon will turn the person wearing it, and any anyone around them a wild color. It will also stand out so much more than anyone else in the photo. Reflective clothing will glow when photographed with any light source, so I do not encourage reflective clothing. Lastly, lets talk about stripes. Some shirts with stripes are cool, I will admit it. A shirt full of stripes though, will draw the eye directly to the shirt. You can break it up by wearing a little jacket or vest over your shirt and have a whole new cute look though!
Forever. Well, at least you will remember it forever, and your photos will be the best reminder ever! But for real, your session time will vary, depending on how everyone is getting along and behaving. So, newborn sessions can last a few hours, if they are crabby (they do not usually behave). Most family sessions last about an hour, but sometimes little Janie might have a melt down 15 minutes in. So, I am there, and will be there as long or as short as I need to be to capture your awesome family perfectly!
Throughout the year I host several days of exclusively themed sessions that many customers wait all year for. They are held on specific days only and are specially priced. I have an amazing flower farm right here on my property in Huron Township that is an amazing location for sessions. It is private (so no strangers in your background), can accommodate large families (think extended family photographs that include the grands, the aunts, uncles and cousins), and even allows for your favorite furbabies.
If you have a special place in mind though, I travel to many places, and can even meet you on your own property if you prefer. While most of my sessions take place in the Detroit area, I have also traveled to other cities like Traverse City, Houghton Lake, and even Florida!
